Fasting Diets Examined
Although the concept of fasting diets such as the Every Other Day Diet and Alternate Day Fasting aren’t new, people still find it strange. Many wonder how effective it can actually be if you are a yo-yo with your calorie intake. After studies were done by a group of scientists it was determined that although these sorts of diets will help to fight obesity and reduce the risk of contracting Type 2 Diabetes, they will not actually help you with fat or weight loss.
As well, it has never been confirmed if there are any health concerns or disease risks associated with fasting diets. One should also overcome emotional eating if they do it. It just doesn’t seem good for your body to go back and forth from indulging to depriving so quickly, there has to be some long term effects. Personally I think I would rather stay on the side of caution and wait until more testing is done before trying something that is not well thought out.
